RiverWoods Residents and Teens
Turning Out Tables for a Good Cause
RiverWoods residents have some of the most remarkable lives. Their experiences- both prior to and during retirement- are just part of what makes RiverWoods such an interesting place. It's difficult to a value on the relationships between our residents and the young people in the the greater community.
A group of residents here at RiverWoods recently teamed up with some of the kids from the New Outlook Teen Center here in Exeter for a crash course in construction. The teens were in need of new picnic tables so folks at RiverWoods donated the table kits and residents and teens from the center assembled the tables.
As you'll see in this short video clip, it was a life experience which some of the kids won't soon forget...
Check out this short video of the project:
Recently a group of kids from the New Outlook Teen Center donated their time at RiverWoods planting shrubs. Both organizations know the relationship between youth and seniors is an important connection- well worth maintaining.
