RiverWoods Blog: A Long Day's Work

Camp Spaulding is open to kids aged 8 - 14, and is available on a sliding fee, so many children who would not otherwise afford camp can attend.

The day is part of RiverWoods' on-going partnership with Child and Family Services,  which will culminate in this year's auction, on October 16th, with a big fund-raising event.

The senior team members spent the day mowing (with a push mower!), clearing brush, trimming and moving logs, spreading wood chips, weed-whacking, building log benches and clearing brush from the pool area.  A special project, shown here, is clearing an area for the archery program.  The sun shone, everyone gained a few sore muscles, and a great sense of accomplishment at the end of the day!
