Allan B. Prince, Ph.D., Resident Trustee:
Graduate of Rutgers University with a B.S. in Soil Chemistry 1947 and a Ph.D. in Soil Chemistry with a minor in Plant Physiology 1950. His 50-year professional career has been spent in higher education with the first 21 years engaged in research and teaching and the remaining 29 years in University level administration. He has been a Danforth Foundation Associate 1960-78, a Post Doctoral Fellow at Duke University 1962 and an American Council on Education Fellow in Academic Administration at the University of Washington 1965-66. Relevant experience was gained in the following positions: Assistant Vice President for Research 1969-1971, University of New Hampshire (UNH); Director of Budget, UNH System 1971-75; Vice President for Financial Affairs and Administration, UNH 1975-1981; Executive Vice President, Whittier College 1981-1988; Treasurer, UNH Foundation 1989-95; and Interim President, UNH Foundation 1997. He has served on college and university accreditation teams in New England and California. In World War II he served with the American Field Service attached to the British Empire Forces in the Middle East and Italy and has an Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Fifth Army.
